Day 5 - San Francisco, Golden Gate and Petrified Forrest

Day 5 - After electing to wake early again, which of course didn't happen, we packed up camp with the same speed as before and drove over the hill in to San Francisco. At Pier 39 some shopped, some watched magic shows and rode the carousel. At Ghirardelli’s we saw some chocolate being made and enjoyed some ice-cream. Then its was over the golden gate to the secret lookout point only used usually by locals (The tourist packed the other one!). After a short stop to put air in a tire of the truck (And but soda, candy and water - the nessities!). We drove north through San Rosa to the Petrified Forrest (3.4 million years old). The day end with a short drive to Clear lake. It is hot here 105 - Ahhhh!

Also, I lived in Spain for 1 school year (Marbella) and spent a lot of fun summers there too. Travel opportunities as a teen are never ever forgotten. Trevor, et al...
Just wanted to say thank you!
Everyone looks like they are having such a thrilling time. I don’t want to keep hitting the exclamation symbol on my keyboard, but I could. You are doing a great service and a great job!
Thank your wife and the others working with you for making this trip, the blog site and everything so enjoyable for both the parents and the children.
Iam Moh's mom,
Really I get so happy whenever I see Moh's pictures.Maybe next time I will participate in this camp as a camper because it looks they are having so much fun.
To Sophie, Claudio and Ellen (anthony's mom and dad) we live in Huntington Beach, California, we are friends of Trevor and Amy Doyle. Claudio is from Argentina, 45 years old, boyishly handsome (he told me to say that...) Works as a bookkeeper and I am a massage therapist and teacher of Anatomy and Physiology. I wish Anthony's spanish were better, so colette could have someone to speak more to. I took french in school, but it ended up being just enough to mess up my spanish. How many children do you have? It would be cool to come away with pen pals!
Tony, stop mugging for the camera! From this day forward you will have one dollar for every photo where you are not "mugging". Yes this is a bribe!! p.s. get the money from your dad...lol mom
Trevor and Amy, not to add any more craziness to your trip, but could you I.D. a photo of all the kids, so we know who is who? I know tony of course, but not anyone else... You guys ok, I know you guys... Hope all is well, and thanks again for all you're doing! Claudio wants me to ask for several photos so the images aren't too small. Loving this site!
